Regensdorf, Zurich – KIBAG , Switzerland’s leading construction materials group, has commissioned a 1.254 MW rooftop solar installation at its Regensdorf recycling facility. The system, developed by our partner Swiss Renewable Solutions , utilizes 2,787 AESOLAR METEOR AE450CMER-96BDS modules with G12R cell. According to KIBAG, this is "one of the largest rooftop solar projects in the Canton of Zurich," directly powering operations across their 48,000 m² site, and has been seamlessly integrated into the grid.

The installation is projected to generate approximately 1.4 GWh of clean electricity annually. This substantial energy output not only meets the facility's internal consumption needs but also contributes to the broader sustainability goals of the region. By producing electricity on-site, KIBAG minimizes transmission losses and enhances energy reliability, setting a benchmark for industrial-scale renewable energy integration.
