Advanced Materials for Extreme Environments - The Alpine Series features 3.2mm tempered safety glass. This advanced design enables the Alpine Series to withstand hailstones of up to  40mm in diameter (comparable to a table-tennis ball) at speeds of 27.54 meters per second, a standard far exceeding the IEC requirement of 25mm hailstones at 23 meters per second. Not only do tests show hailstones disintegrating upon impact, but third-party results from TÜV Rheinland also confirm no visual defects and minimal power degradation after hailstone impacts.

The Alpine Series has undergone and passed the rigorous Swiss Hail VKF HW4 Test, performed at the TÜV Rheinland Cologne Laboratory in Germany. This test subjects the module to extreme impacts: 40mm hailstones, producing over 11.1J of energy, impacting the module at 16 different points. Verified Results: No visible damage to the module No micro-cracks detected in the Electroluminescence (EL) test No power degradation Passed insulation resistance and wet leakage current tests

With its 6005-T6 high-strength anodized aluminum alloy frame, the Alpine Series withstands wind loads up to 3600Pa — equivalent to wind speeds of 171.33 mph (275.73 km/h). This is critical as hailstorms are often accompanied by winds exceeding 120 mph (193.12 km/h).
