TOPCon is an innovative leap forward in photovoltaics, bridging the gap between the limits of conventional solar cells and the energy-rich potential of the sun.
In this technology, a thin layer of passivating material such as silicon dioxide or aluminium oxide is deposited on the crystalline silicon (c-Si) wafer, followed by a highly doped polycrystalline silicon layer. This ingenious arrangement greatly improves the performance and efficiency of the solar cell.
