On August 10, 2024, AESOLAR had the pleasure of hosting an exciting and educational workshop at the Niederstotzingen Garden Association. Led by our Head of R&D, Dr. Hanifi, and CSO, Mr. Hartmann, the event was designed to introduce children to the fascinating world of solar energy. In partnership with the city of Niederstotzingen and the Gartenfreunde Niederstotzingen e.V., this workshop provided an engaging hands-on experience that captivated the young audience.

The workshop began with a dynamic presentation on the basics of photovoltaics, where children were shown how solar energy is harnessed through live demonstrations. Using two solar modules and water pumps, AESOLAR brought the technology to life, illustrating the real-world applications of solar power. The children eagerly participated in experiments, comparing the performance of a standard module and our innovative ShadeStar module under different lighting conditions.

The ShadeStar, an innovative solar solution from AESOLAR, offers significant advantages in shaded conditions where traditional solar panels often struggle. Thanks to its advanced technology, the ShadeStar module minimizes energy loss by bypassing shaded areas and maximizing overall power output. This ensures optimal performance even when parts of the solar panel are covered by shadows, a common challenge in real-world installations. The children were able to witness this cutting-edge technology firsthand, observing how ShadeStar outperforms standard modules under partial shading.

One of the highlights of the day was the interactive Q&A session, where all the children's curious questions were answered. Following the presentation, the kids had the opportunity to build their own solar-powered toys. They assembled wooden cars, windmills, and model houses equipped with solar panels, motors, and batteries, bringing their creations to life as they watched them move, spin, and light up.

This event was more than just a fun day out; it was a chance to spark a lifelong interest in renewable energy among the next generation. AESOLAR is proud to have played a part in inspiring these young minds and looks forward to hosting more events that promote sustainability and innovation.
