Maramureș County, Romania, a transformative 30MW solar project is taking shape. This ambitious utility-scale project, powered by AESOLAR’s high-performance 660W half-cut Aurora modules, is expected to be completed by February in 2025. Once operational, it will directly supply clean, renewable energy to the local grid, benefitting countless households and businesses in the area.
With over 45,000 AESOLAR 660W half-cut Aurora modules installed, this project is designed to generate an estimated 36 GWh of electricity annually—enough to power over 2,000 residents for an entire year based on the country’s average electricity consumption of 17,819 kWh per person in 2023. Beyond meeting local energy demand, it will save around 14,600 tons of coal annually and prevent the emission of nearly 41,900 tons of CO₂ each year, marking a significant step toward a more sustainable future.
As Romania continues to embrace renewable energy policies, projects like this are pivotal in accelerating the country’s transition to clean energy. By supporting this utility-scale solar plant, AESOLAR is proud to bring German-engineered quality and innovation to the forefront, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability.
With completion just around the corner, we look forward to seeing the positive impact this project will have on Maramureș County and beyond. At AESOLAR, we are not just delivering advanced solar modules—we are empowering communities, driving sustainable development, and working together toward a greener future.
