AESOLAR Colorful Module Mirage has been honored with the prestigious German Design Award 2026 in the category “Excellent Product Design – Energy,” marking a significant milestone for AESOLAR and its BIPV-focused sub-brand, Invitaic. As one of the most respected design competitions in the world, the German Design Award—organized by the German Design Council—recognizes products that successfully unite technological innovation, visual excellence, and outstanding functionality. With more than 3,900 submissions from 57 countries in the 2026 edition, receiving this distinction reflects Mirage’s position among the most advanced architectural solar solutions on the global stage.

Developed jointly by AESOLAR and Invitaic’s R&D team and architectural engineering specialists, Mirage redefines what colored BIPV can achieve. Available in 355W to 530W, the series offers a wide palette of architectural colors and customizable options designed to blend seamlessly with roof and façade materials. The modules deliver an impressive 18.2%–19.5% efficiency, only 3–5% lower than conventional PV despite the use of opaque pearlescent surfaces—an achievement made possible through optimized silk-printing and German-engineered cell-stack design. With proper system planning, Mirage enables architects and EPCs to maintain both visual integrity and energy performance.

Engineered for real-world applications, Mirage integrates a hydrophobic pearlescent coating, reducing dust accumulation and cutting cleaning frequency by 20–30%. Its lightweight single-glass structure lowers building load, simplifies installation, and can reduce total BIPV system cost by 10–15% compared with traditional dual-glass or decorative façade materials. Mirage also enhances structural value through at least 50% improved mechanical durability, optimized acoustic and thermal insulation, strong impact resistance, and a design that replaces conventional cladding materials directly without structural modification.
